OK, for a while now I’ve been busy reading blogs relating to education, and the use of ICT in teaching and learning, and quite frankly, I’ve been impressed! Since entering the world of blogs, wikis, Twitter and Ning just a few short months ago, I have been amazed and excited to learn of a plethora of opportunities to prepare students for their “tomorrow”. Teachers and students around the world are doing wonderful things and using ICT to engage with the global community and each other in ways that were never thought possible only a short time ago. I used to think that I was “ICT savvy” when it came to my classroom teaching. Now I know that there are many more opportunities just waiting for me to embrace them!
As well as the use of ICT in education, I’m passionate about teaching and learning, and about remodeling the shape and substance of “education” as we know it. I recently discovered a video clip that really captured a lot of my thoughts and feelings about this “revolution”, and have included it here.
